In order to strengthen the exchange of ideas, the Association of Non-Regulated Electric Customers invited different company representatives to a meeting to analyze the current situation of the national and regional electricity market
The concern of non-regulated electricity customers, such as Metro, mining companies and other large companies, after the February blackout is focused on the fact that the electricity system continues to operate in a similar way as it did prior to the blackout.
The company, which belongs to the community of national shipyards, joins the Association of Unregulated Electricity Customers, which represents 50% of the maximum national electricity demand of free customers, with a diverse network of members belonging to different productive sectors. ASMAR is an autonomous company of the State.
The first training will address what it means to be an unregulated electricity customer and among the main topics to be covered are: who and how can be unregulated customers; the relationship with the supplier and the distributor; rights and responsibilities and what should be taken into account when contracting as an unregulated customer. This will be held on May 6.
Regarding the Failure Analysis Study, ACENOR's executive director, Javier Bustos, stated that this is an event that has had a great economic impact on the country, mainly on free customers from different productive sectors, which accounted for more than 54% of the energy not supplied.
The February 25 blackout mainly affected non-regulated customers, those with the highest consumption and mostly large companies. According to ACENOR, free customers accounted for more than 54% of the energy not supplied.
