Empresa de los Ferrocarriles del Estado, known by its acronym EFE and renamed EFE Trenes de Chile as of May 2021, is a Chilean state-owned company in charge of cargo and passenger transportation by rail. The company was created on January 4, 1884, being one of the longest operating public companies in the country.
